| RESPONSIBILITIES: | (Include but will not be limited to) |
| GENERAL ABILITY |
- Time served as an Electrician or Instrument Technician
- Familiar with oil & gas, offshore or large Electrical installations with proven track record
- Conversant with Field Bus Protocol, Electrical & Electronic Systems and process control (Smart Instruments)
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings such as P&ID / PFDs
- Ability to work unsupervised safely
- Familiar with permit to work systems
- Experience with the installation of instrument process pipe work
- Understanding of the English Language in Technical Terms and the ability to write in English

| TECHNICAL ABILITY |
- Attendance at a Technical School with recognised Australian trade or equivalent technical qualification
- Familiar with the use of specialist instrument tools and test equipment
- Familiar with working to project specifications and international standards
- Recognition of potential problems and mitigation of them
- Ability to identify and rectify faults and errors

- Ability to supervise technicians and other artisan under his control
- Able to understand and acknowledge unsafe working conditions and the ability to mitigate them
- Ability to take direct instructions and carry them out from line supervisor

The Commissioning Technician reports to and is accountable directly to the Commissioning Manager and to be successful for this it would be preferred if Australian Resident or one with Australian Work Visa to apply for the role.
